Details: A brief and bouncy soundtrack to the wide-eyed, innocent love of 9-year-old kids meeting—and falling in (something resembling) love—where their backyards touch. The chords offer a clever nod to the seventies, enhancing the nostalgia of it all. The only thing it's missing is a jar of fireflies.
“I Took An Oath” also features original artwork by Allison Moore, an American ex-pat living in England. She's also responsible for the original painting used in the cover of Ian's most recent full-length, “This Is The Sound”. This single was co-written with writing partner Chris Newkirk and features the prodigious talents of Holler, Wild Rose's John Mosloskie.
