Hey all you goofy, pie-eyed kids! Let's wrap things up with another love song, shall we? Ian's fourth and final single of 2009, "We Should Hang In The Museum," is a happy-go-lucky pop gem written especially for hand-holding and/or heavy petting.
OK, that's not exactly true. Like "Listening In," this one was written for the Meg Ryan/Antonio Banderas flick, My Mom's New Boyfriend. Only it wasn't used in the film. But it will, we predict, be used in your lives. It has been foretold to Ian in a dream that one of you will dance to this at your wedding, one of you will conceive your firstborn while it's playing, one of you will get slapped as the song reaches its sweet catharsis for not keeping your hand over her shirt, and one of you will perform it on American Idol, consequently turning Ian and his songwriting partner Chris into millionaires.
Also, like the last release, we took this one to Swiss Auto Club's John Bonaventura for some of his poptastic magic. He plays all sorts of happy things on it and produced it with Ian as well. If you thought that Ian's "How Did I Get Here?" jammy jam was a bright, bouncy joy, well then, you're in for a treat. Even if you're not currently somebody's sweetie.
Also, Ian's lovely little sis is responsible for the album art this time around. Can you feel the love?
So, you and Ian should hang in iTunes. You can find "We Should Hang In The Museum" there as well as your other favorite online retailers.
